Cappoquin Health Centre is now a GP Training Practice!

We are delighted to announce that, from July 2025, Cappoquin Health Centre has been appointed as a GP Training Practice for the South Eastern GP Training Scheme. 

This means that from now on we will have a GP Trainee working at the practice. The GP Trainee is a fully qualified doctor who is finishing his/her post-graduate training to qualify as a GP. 

"This is brilliant news for us all and indeed for the wider local community as it is the first time Cappoquin Health Centre has been appointed as a GP Training Surgery," said Dr Casey. "I know our patients will welcome the new Doctor to the Practice as we all know there is a need to train as many GPs as we can for the future."

The GP Trainee will be able to independently see and treat patients with all the usual list of medical problems and will be under the supervision of Dr Casey.
